BAKER CITY — A Baker City woman faces multiple charges after Oregon State Troopers say she was driving intoxicated with kids in her vehicle.
Around 6:00pm on Saturday, December 9, OSP responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 30. Troopers were told the vehicle pulled into a home in Baker City. Troopers arrived at the house and spoke with the driver, 30-year-old Monica Lynn Thomas of Baker City.
Troopers say Thomas exhibited obvious signs of impairment and was given sobriety tests. She was then arrested for DUII-Alcohol.
OSP says she was allegedly driving intoxicated with two children under the age of 10 in the car.
Thomas’s mother came to the home to care for the children after she was arrested. She was taken to the Baker County Jail where she blew 0.16% BAC, which is twice the legal limit.
On top of the DUII charge, Thomas was also charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
