PRAIRIE CITY / LONG CREEK / SENECA – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Grant County, beginning Friday and lasting through Sunday.
Both the Southern Blue Mountains and the Ochoco-John Day Highlands are under the advisory, including the towns of Long Creek, Prairie City and Seneca. Between 3 and 7 inches of snow is possible over the three-day period, with more possible at elevations above 4,500 feet. Also, winds could gust as high as 40 miles per hour.
