COLLEGE PLACE – The College Place Police Department arrested Kristopher Arellano, 26, of College Place Tuesday night for driving under the influence of intoxicants and other charges after crashing his vehicle behind a Walla Walla business.
CPPD officers attempted to stop him around 11:30 p.m. for speeding and other moving violations on Southeast Larch Avenue. Officers lost sight of the vehicle, reporting it was moving at more than 80 miles per hour.
As law enforcement searched the area, they located it between the Sportsman’s Warehouse, on the 1600 block of West Poplar Street. Arellano struck two trees and a Cascade Natural Gas utility line marker.
Arellano was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on charges of DUI, possession of a controlled substance, attempt to elude a police vehicle, harassment, and second-degree malicious mischief.
