Grant County man convicted for attempted sexual abuse & attempted unlawful penetration

CANYON CITY – A man was sentenced to jail and probation on sex charges, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Jacob Derosier, 36, pleaded No Contest to one count of Attempt to Commit a Class A Felony—Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, as well as one count of Attempt to Commit a Class B Felony—Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
Derosier was sentenced to 60 months on Supervised Probation with special conditions, as well as 30 days in jail for each charge with credit for time served. Four other counts were disposed with no conviction.
