Major Crimes Team Activated in Harney County Saturday Morning

Harney County (Release by the Harney County Sheriff’s Office)-The Major Crimes Team was activated this morning after a 911 call from a resident that someone had broken into their home and the suspect left in their vehicle. Law enforcement was able to locate and apprehend the suspect after a pursuit. The suspect is in custody and there is no further threat to the community.

There are multiple crime scenes involved with this case, leading to road closures listed below. Duration of these closures is unknown at this time. This investigation does not involve Burns High School.

Highway 20 from West Jackson to Egan(shown on Trip Check) is closed and Saginaw from Hines Blvd to Hilander Ave is closed.

Further details will be released at a later time as the investigation is ongoing. Oregon State Police is expected to take the lead on this case.
