OTEC will open scholarship programs mid-November

JOHN DAY – Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative Manager of Communications Shane Stenquist recently informed KJDY listeners of the many scholarship opportunities available through OTEC. Stenquist mentioned the OTEC-EOU Rural Scholarship Program; scholarships for graduating high schoolers, as well as returning college students; and also, the Trade School and Linemen Scholarships:
“Trade School Scholarships and Linemen Scholarships are open year-round, but those other scholarship programs are getting ready to open mid-November. We’re working with our foundation and scholarship committees to set those dates right now. So, if they just watch our website, they’ll see when those open up, but they will open mid-November and typically they close early in the spring, like most of the scholarship programs.”
