WALLA WALLA – The retrial for Walla Walla firefighter and paramedic Anthony Spada, accused of child molestation, has been continued to April 16, 2024.

The 48 year old from Walla Walla was arrested in March 2022 after a 14-year-old girl reported to her counselor that Spada had allegedly been touching her sexually and making her watch pornographic videos with him since she was 10.

Spada pleaded not guilty to the charges of child molestation in the first and second-degree, rape of a child in the third-degree, and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

In February, his first trial was declared a mistrial when the jury could not agree on a verdict.

“Spada is still an employee of the city and continues to be in an unpaid status pending the outcome of his trial,” Walla Walla Communications Manager Brenden Koch said.
