Three injured in semi, car, school bus collision in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – Three people were injured Wednesday at 6:53 a.m. in a collision involving a semi, car, and school bus on State Route 14 and Plymouth Road (milepost 180).

The Washington State Patrol said Jeronimo A. Montes, 50, of Yakima is charged with failure to yield the right of way after striking a Ford Focus with the semi he was driving. The Ford Focus then struck a school bus.

Montes was not injured, however, the collision injured two people in the Ford Focus, Miguel A. Bailon Lopez, 51, and his passenger, Maria E. Rodriguez Reyes, 39, both of Kennewick. The driver of the school bus, Sandra N. Aguilar Palacios, 30, of Paterson, was also injured.

Troopers said everyone was wearing their seatbelt. The injured were transported to Trios Health Hospital in Kennewick.

Five students riding on the bus were not injured.
