Naming ceremony to be held at Grant Union’s gym

JOHN DAY – Grant School District 3 Superintendent Mark Witty was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, and mentioned that the district will be holding a naming ceremony for their gymnasium at their next home volleyball games. He said they’ll be naming the space after Dean Nodine:
“Dean was a teacher in the high school, he was a principal in the district, and then he was superintendent for a number of years.
He was just a great person within our community and within our schools.”
Superintendent Witty said the naming will take place after the JV game finishes up on Tuesday, October 17th. He guessed that might happen around 5:30 p.m.
