Prison time for woman with theft charge in Grant County

CANYON CITY – A woman will spend time in prison following conviction on a theft charge, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents.
On September 29th, 2023, in Grant County Circuit Court, Amy Jane Hawkins, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree—a crime that occurred in December of 2018.
Hawkins was sentenced to 6 months in prison with Oregon Department of Corrections and ordered to pay $500 in restitution. The prison sentence is to run concurrently to charges from a case in Jefferson County.
