Burns, Hines and Harney County-Open burning restrictions will be lifted on October 1, 2023, for the City of Burns, City of Hines and Harney County.
The following burning activities will be allowed. Open burning (this is burning of yard debris or large piles of woody debris) and the use of burning barrels as well as recreational fires, campfires and warming fires. The City of Burns, City of Hines and Harney County ask that you take precautions with these fires.
Remember to call and make sure you have a burn permit if you do not have one already. Also call the Harney County Dispatch at 573.6156 to report your burn. Please follow all safety tips in the burn regulations and ensure your fire is completely extinguished and cold to the touch before leaving it. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in a citation.
