Kennewick teen suspected of planning school shootings is arrested

KENNEWICK – A 14-year-old boy from Kennewick has been arrested by the Kennewick Police Department on suspicion of making felony threats.
On Sunday, KPD received information about an alleged school shooting that was supposed to take place Monday. The suspect made online threats to carry out a school shooting at multiple schools in Kennewick.
KPD actively investigated these threats and arrested the boy, who was lodged into the Benton-Franklin Juvenile Justice Center
