New Clue Discovered in Case of Missing Woman in Malheur County

MALHEUR COUNTY — A new clue has been found in the disappearance of 27-year-old Gwen Brunelle of Boise. The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office confirms a T-shirt belonging to 27-year-old Gwen Brunelle was found on Sunday, Sept. 10, stuck against a barbed wire fence.
Undersheriff Dave Kesey says a private search group associated with Brunelle’s family spotted the shirt roughly a mile from where Gwen’s vehicle was abandoned in June. No other trace of the missing woman was found during that search.
The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office is organizing another search on Saturday, Sept. 23 to search that area and other remote spots. Kesey says other search-and-rescue teams from across Eastern Oregon and Idaho will also assist.
Gwen was last seen on June 27 at the Sinclair gas station in Jordan Valley after leaving her home in Boise on June 26. Her car was found on Succor Creek Road, 0.4 miles west of Highway 95 in Malheur County on June 30. Police believe she may have wandered off or been abducted.
Gwen is 5’7″ tall and 160 lbs. with brown eyes and medium-brown hair.
