Manulife Forest Management Lands in Northeast Oregon Update Public Use Restrictions

LA GRANDE – (Information from ODFW) On August 7, 2023, All Manulife (formerly Hancock) forest Management Lands in the Northeast Oregon District were closed to public access due to fire danger. Manulife has since issued the following update: “Rain across NE Oregon has lowered the fire danger from Extreme to High. Manulife Forest Management has updated their public access restrictions. Hunters and other outdoor recreationists can call their information line at (541) 962-2184 to get the latest updates on access restrictions on their managed lands in NE Oregon. Fire season is still in effect and extreme caution should be used at all times.”
