Fire Danger “Moderate” on Malheur National Forest

JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY & HINES – The Malheur National Forest posted a release stating that Fire Danger on the Malheur National Forest has changed to Moderate, in effect now. Restrictions will remain the same.

The Industrial Fire Precaution Level will remain at a level II and Public Use Restriction B will remain in place.

Forest officials say warmer conditions are predicted toward the end of the week and moving into September, with September’s outlook predicted to be warmer than normal.
