Grant County to test Emergency Alert System

GRANT COUNTY – (Press Release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office)
On Tuesday, September 5th, between 10:00am and 11:00am the Grant County Sheriff’s Emergency Management Services in conjunction with the Grant County Communications Agency will be conducting a live test of the Everbridge Alert and Warning System in Grant County. Everyone who has signed up for notifications will be sent a test message. The message will clearly state that this is a test.
If you signed up for the previous Alertsense or the current Everbridge system you should receive a message based on the receipt methods that were selected when you signed up.
The purpose of the test is to validate the current database of subscribers, to assess the data transition from Alertsense to Everbridge and to ensure the public is familiar with the type and method of how messages will be received.
If you haven’t signed up you can do so anytime by logging onto the Grant County website and navigating to the Emergency Management page, or simply click on the link; Grant County Alerts – Sign In (everbridge.net).
At the conclusion of the test, if you are uncertain if you received a test message, or did not and thought you should have, please login in to the Everbridge site listed above to confirm your subscription and preferences. Other reasons you might not receive a message could include, being outside of cell service, or other constraints of the preferences you have selected.
