Teen arrested in Saturday morning stabbing

MILTON-FREEWATER – The Milton-Freewater Police Department arrested a 16-year-old boy Saturday morning after he allegedly stabbed a man on the 500 block of Northeast Ninth Court multiple times.
The victim, Brian Jenkins, 50, of Milton-Freewater, who appeared to have multiple stab wounds to the stomach area was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla before being transported to a Tri-Cities area hospital for further evaluation.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked on the following charges: second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangerment of another person, and first-degree burglary.
