Alana Springsteen talks tour, album, & upcoming show in John Day

JOHN DAY – Time is drawing nearer for the country music event of the summer in Grant County! Singer/songwriter Alana Springsteen, who will open for Josh Turner in John Day August 11th, was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently and said she’s been on tour with Luke Bryan this summer. Alana was taking a couple of days to write music in L.A. and took a moment to call the station.

Springsteen talked with Morning Show host Logan Bagett about writing her latest single, Ghost in My Guitar, featuring Chris Stapleton:

“When people would ask me who those artists were that I dreamt about collaborating with, Chris was at the top of that list for as long as I could remember.

We actually wrote the song, ‘Ghost in My Guitar’ out here in L.A., and we routed out the guitar riff that starts the song. Instead of it being like a traditional duet between me and another vocalist, it’s a duet between me and a guitar that’s representing the ghost of my ex in this song.”

Springsteen’s first full-length album is being released in three chunks, with two of those pieces already available on the major music platforms.

Tickets for the John Day performance are also available at the Grant County Fairgrounds office.

And no, she isn’t related to Bruce Springsteen.
