WALLA WALLA – Multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a residence on Stateline Road, just east of McDaniels Road, at approximately 6:10 a.m. Monday. Walla Walla County Undersheriff Joe Klundt said the reason for the search warrant was to recover stolen items and possibly narcotics.
“Five individuals were arrested, as well as several items that were reported stolen have been recovered,” Klundt said.
The Walla Walla Regional SWAT Team, Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, Walla Walla Police Department, College Place Police Department and personnel from the Washington State Department of Corrections were all part of the execution of the search warrant.
Klundt said tear gas was introduced into a residence to gain compliance. The individual who initially refused to exit the residence did voluntarily leave the residence and was arrested.
“There were no injuries to either law enforcement personnel or suspects or civilians during the execution of the warrant,” Klundt said.
The Walla Walla Police Department Drone Team provided aerial surveillance during the execution of the warrant.
Klundt said no further information will be released at this time.
