WALLA WALLA – A father and son arrested in February 2022 in College Place and Walla Walla for their alleged connection with the Pagan’s Outlaw Motorcycle Gang face federal prosecution. Both are convicted felons and are charged with unlawful possession of firearms.

John Smith Jr., 34, was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month for being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, plus unlawfully transporting firearms, and ammunition in interstate and foreign commerce. He’s been ordered to forfeit firearms and ammunition used in the offense.

His father, John Smith Sr., 50, recently had local charges against him dismissed without prejudice by the Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to clear the way for a federal indictment to proceed.
