MILTON-FREEWATER – The city of Milton-Freewater will hold a special city council meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 8 a.m. City Manager Linda Hall requested the meeting as the council needs to consider a resolution to transfer funds due to unforeseen revenues and expenditures.
Hall said the city received $25,000 more in property tax and $15,000 more in garbage bin rentals than anticipated.
As for expenses, Hall said they were over in one department due to an employe taking on another job and getting a five-percent increase in pay for the additional duties, plus another employe who got married added their spouse to the city’s insurance.
The council will also consider renewing the city’s contract with Barnett and Moro out of Hermiston for audit services.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be held in the city manager’s office at city hall, 722 S. Main St.
