JOHN DAY – Grant County Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time, and said the fair is looking to build up its Open Class exhibits:
“Open Class has kind of died down a little bit, and we’re really trying to build that program back up. With Open Class we do need some superintendents. I’ve got great volunteers, and kudos to them, but they need some help and some of them would like to retire.
If anybody’s interested in photography, art, crafts, ceramics, anything that gives them interest. Or if you’d like to come and just do data entry…we could use that.”
Anyone interested in learning more can contact Mindy at the Fair Office, at (541) 575-1900.
