JOHN DAY – Expect more outages tonight, as the Oxbo Mega Transport Solutions rigs will continue their pass through Grant County. Currently, the outfit is parked between Mt. Vernon and John Day along U.S. Highway 26. According to Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative, they’re scheduled to get moving around 9 p.m. and are only supposed to go a few miles into John Day before stopping for the day.
Even so, there are 49 wire crossings that ODOT will be temporarily shutting the power off to in that 6-mile stretch. The outages will happen between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. The cooperative doesn’t know exactly what times the outages will occur, but officials have mentioned that if your power is out for longer than 2 hours, to call the OTEC outage hotline at 1-866-430-4265.
Tomorrow night, the load will move south on U.S. 395C 42 miles to Trout Creek.
