City of John Day is back on the hunt for a City Manager

JOHN DAY – John Day Mayor Heather Rookstool was on KJDY’s Coffee Time speaking to current events in John Day. She said Rick Allen, the Interim City Manager, has submitted his resignation:
“When he’s done, he’ll be about four months into it. He started the 1st of March. He, after a few months, was starting to have discussions with myself and a couple others about how we need an in-building manager versus him being an interim, part-time, in-building person.
He sees that we need more than what he can provide because he’s got other businesses over in Madras that he also takes care of.”
Rookstool said he submitted a 30-day notice.
