EASTERN OREGON – (Information from Walla Walla Community College) Walla Walla Community College has announced that it will be expanding its Warrior Pledge Pilot Program to cover applicants in Union, Wallowa, Umatilla, and Morrow counties. This is part of a larger push to expand the program to more areas across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. For those unfamiliar with the program, Warrior Pledge offers financial assistance to recent high school graduates and first-time college attendees by covering the tuition needed for a two-year degree or certificate. Warrior Pledge funding is distributed via scholarships and does not need to be paid back like a traditional student loan.
