Firefighters stop Onion Springs Fire at a tenth of an acre

MALHEUR NATIONAL FOREST – According to wildcad.net, firefighting resources including Forest Engine 62 were able to stop a wildfire at approximately one-tenth of an acre on Monday afternoon.

The Onion Springs Fire, west of Crane Prairie, was deemed “contained and controlled” at approximately 2:04 P.M. on June 12th.  A cause for the fire was not listed, although lightning activity was reported in the area. The fire is now listed as out.
