Area District 6 softball stars are announced

Area athletes named to District 6 team
UMATILLA & MORROW COUNTIES – Several athletes from this area have been named to the All League teams for Special District No. 6 for softball.
The first team has Hailey Stallings of Weston-McEwen and Ava Ellis of Pilot Rock for pitchers. Bailey Moore of Weston-McEwen was selected as a catcher. First base nod went to Paedyn Bennett of Pilot Rock. Infielders are Ava Sams of Weston-McEwen and Zoe Ramos of Echo/Stanfield. In the outfield are Paige Moffitt of Pilot Rock, Neveah Thew of Echo/Stanfield, and Luna Dennett of Weston-McEwen. Designated players are Hannah Weyand of Echo and Brielle Ward of Weston-McEwen.
Second team pitchers are Kolby Gibbs of Pilot Rock and Mazie Reeser of Echo/Stanfield. Catcher is Alli Smith of Pilot Rock. First base second team honors went to Mykael Graham of Echo/Stanfield and Maricela Luna of Irrigon. Infielders are Kylie Thornton of Weston-McEwen, Hailey Thieme of Pilot Rock, Hadlie Nation of Heppner, and Ava Gerry of Heppner. Outfielders are Genevieve Robinson of Weston-McEwen and Tegan Thornton of Pilot Rock. Kyella Picard of Pilot Rock was named to the second team for utility player.
Honorable mention awards went to Kaydence Emery (infield) of Irrigon, Dalana Pickard (outfield) of Weston-McEwen, Addison Kosey (designated player) of Pilot Rock, Kylee Jackson (infield) of Echo/Stanfield, and Madison Orem (infield) of Heppner.
