Lady Pros advance to championship softball game in Eugene

JOHN DAY – The Grant Union/Prairie City Lady Pros are headed to the state championship game after defeating Kennedy 5-2 yesterday. The girls will play Weston-McEwen/Griswold on June 2nd, at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. Game time begins at 2pm. We’ll keep you updated. Good luck Lady Pros!
According to Cammi Copenhaver with the Prospector Booster Club, they’re shooting for “the biggest honk-out ever” on Thursday. The ladies leave for Eugene Thursday at 11 a.m. from Grant Union High School. Copenhaver suggested anyone who is free can join the honk-out with their vehicle at the school, and for those who can’t make it out can wave the ladies on as they head out of town.
