Grant County 4-H in need of rifle/pistol club leader

JOHN DAY – Grant County Grinders 4-H Shotgun Club leader Mark Bagett was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time. Bagett said the club is an excellent and safe opportunity for youth to be introduced into shooting sports. While there are local clubs for shotguns and archery, he said that there is currently no one to lead a rifle/pistol shooting club:
“Where we’re really lacking right now in local shooting sports is in the rifle/pistol end of things.
There’s a pretty good regimen of leadership training that’s involved with that. If anyone is interested or would like to step up to that, I would really recommend they get ahold of the Extension Office. Call Carol or Christal there.”
