GRANT COUNTY –Two young rodeo cowboys will be headed off with hopes of making it to the national competition.
Tatyn Harper, an 8th grader at Prairie City School along with Jack Knowles, a 7th grader at Grant Union Jr./Sr. High hit the road Friday for the Oregon High School Rodeo Association, Jr. High Division State Finals in Central Oregon.
These young buckaroos will be competing to qualify for the National High School Rodeo Association finals to be held in Perry, Georgia.
Harper competes in chute dogging, bull riding, and bareback riding. Knowles in chute dogging, breakaway, ribbon roping, team roping and tie down roping.
