Red Cross: “Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.”

JOHN DAY – The American Red Cross will be holding another blood drive in John Day. It’s set for Tuesday, June 6th and Wednesday, June 7th.

According to the Red Cross, “…blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.”

The John Day blood drive will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 944 East Main St. On Wednesday, the hours are from 1 until 6 p.m., and then on Thursday they 7th the drive will be held between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
