OTEC to discuss community support in John Day

JOHN DAY – OTEC will be holding a district meeting next month, and itโ€™ll be held in John Day. The meeting is set for June 13th at the Grant County Regional Airport and begins at 5:30 p.m. Communications Manager Joe Hathaway gives us more information:

โ€œTheyโ€™re called District Meetings. Theyโ€™re basically mini annual meetings in all the counties that we serve, and we invite all OTEC members to come. Itโ€™s going to be a good time. Itโ€™s going to be casual, there will be snacks and beverages. Weโ€™ll be talking about whatโ€™s going on with OTEC and the community and how weโ€™re supporting the community in Grant County.โ€

In an email, OTECโ€™s Manager of Government Affairs Tucker Billman wrote, โ€œTory Stinnett with Grant County Economic Development will speak on local topics, and OTEC will give an update on the State of the Cooperative and the work weโ€™re doing to support projects in Grant County. Think of a paired down version of our annual meeting, with the presentation meant to be quicker and the event more focused on networking opportunities among attendees.

This is a good opportunity to hear about what is happening in the local community and with your member-owned electric cooperative! We also welcome feedback on the job weโ€™re doing to support the community. We would love to have you (and your members, if you are a membership organization) in attendance if youโ€™re available.โ€
