OTEC to discuss community support in John Day

JOHN DAY – OTEC will be holding a district meeting next month, and it’ll be held in John Day. The meeting is set for June 13th at the Grant County Regional Airport and begins at 5:30 p.m. Communications Manager Joe Hathaway gives us more information:

“They’re called District Meetings. They’re basically mini annual meetings in all the counties that we serve, and we invite all OTEC members to come. It’s going to be a good time. It’s going to be casual, there will be snacks and beverages. We’ll be talking about what’s going on with OTEC and the community and how we’re supporting the community in Grant County.”

In an email, OTEC’s Manager of Government Affairs Tucker Billman wrote, “Tory Stinnett with Grant County Economic Development will speak on local topics, and OTEC will give an update on the State of the Cooperative and the work we’re doing to support projects in Grant County. Think of a paired down version of our annual meeting, with the presentation meant to be quicker and the event more focused on networking opportunities among attendees.

This is a good opportunity to hear about what is happening in the local community and with your member-owned electric cooperative! We also welcome feedback on the job we’re doing to support the community. We would love to have you (and your members, if you are a membership organization) in attendance if you’re available.”
