Horizon gets new IT service provider

HERMISTON – The city of Hermiston has agreed to provide internet technology services for the Horizon Project. Assistant City Manager Mark Morgan said Horizon, just like Hermiston, formerly contracted with the InterMountain Education Service District for IT services.
“We’ve worked closely with Horizon Project in the past,” Morgan said of the newest customer to the city’s service. “They have properties and locations here in Hermiston, so it just seemed like a good fit.”
Since Hermiston decided to open its own IT service and offer it to other municipal and community organizations, it’s grown considerably.
“We’re to the point where we’re pretty much closing the door on new customers,” he said. “We’re probably in a good position and we may reevaluate in the future whether or not we add additional clients.”
