Make-A-Wish volunteer talks about local needs

Harney County-Make-A-Wish Granter John Cracchiolo introduced himself and spoke about being a Wish Granter Volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation. A Wish Granter Volunteer is a volunteer who meets and gets to know the family and helps create a wish for the child.
Currently there are 350 children in Oregon that are waiting for their wishes to be granted. There is a shortage of volunteers on the west side of the state of Oregon. Make-A-Wish fulfilled 207 wishes last year and their goal is 270 wishes fulfilled for 2023.
Wold Wish Day is on April 29. That day is special to Make-A-Wish because April 29, 1980 is when the very first wish was granted.
