Driver injured by rock thrown at vehicle

OTHELLO – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dangerous situation that happened Wednesday morning involving subjects who threw two large rocks at a flatbed truck moving beehives.

It happened on Highway 26 towards Royal City about two-and-a-half miles west of Othello. The driver of the truck said he saw two subjects jump out of a ditch as he was driving by. One of the two large rocks thrown at the truck went through the windshield hitting the driver who sustained minor injuries.

Deputies are investigating the incident and are looking for any information or witnesses that might help in locating those responsible. Call 509-629-1222 to contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
