JOHN DAY – April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Dorothy Blood with Grant County Victim’s Assistance was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time explaining that a large number of sexual assaults nationwide go unreported:
“Sexual assault is a problem, and less than a third of cases are ever reported. There [are] lots of reasons for that, but we want people to know that if you or someone you know has been assaulted, there is help.
Assaults often happen by people you know. Especially locally.”
