Wrong-way driver, sedan collide on I-82

GRANGER – The Washington State Patrol reports charges are pending against a man after being involved Saturday morning in a wrong-way collision on I-82 westbound at milepost 61, three miles east of Granger.

George Quezada, 33, of Granger was eastbound in the westbound lanes shortly after 6 a.m. when he struck Beatriz Terrazas, 24, of Yakima and two juvenile passengers in a sedan. Both vehicles were totaled in the head-on collision.

Trooper Sarah Clasen said injuries are believed to be serious, but not life threatening at this time.
