BAKER COUNTY -A Caldwell man was arrested in Baker County recently on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop. The incident occurred at milepost 306 at Baker City when Oregon State Police initiated a traffic stop on a blue Subaru Forester for multiple traffic violations.
The driver, 26-year-old Nicholas Gordon Vialet of Caldwell, Idaho, displayed signs of impairment. Vialet consented to a standardized field sobriety test, where further signs of impairment were observed.
During a search, a plastic cylinder was located which contained suspected Fentanyl pills.
A warrant was later served on the container where 110 blue M30 pills were located.
Vialet was arrested on two counts of DUII-Cannabis and Controlled Substances and Possession of Fentanyl-Substantial Quantity (5g or More)
All charges have been referred to the District Attorney for consideration.
