UNION – In a recent update, Union County Commissioner Donna Beverage, currently the Board of Commissioners’ Liaison for the City of Union, noted that Union’s new Mainstreet group are seeking resident participation for the Union City Park renovation survey. According to Beverage, Union Downtown needs approximately 30% resident participation in the survey in order to move forward with the project. This is more than an arbitrary goal, however, as the survey gives Union Resident’s the opportunity to give input on what they’d like the updated park to look like, such as what new features or improvements should be prioritized.
“We really want to know what people want that park to be so they can move forward and get some grants and make some improvements,” noted Beverage. Those who received the survey are encouraged to submit it as soon as possible. It’s currently estimated that only around 20% of residents have actually it.
