WALLOWA & HARNEY COUNTY — (Information from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife) As of a March 6 update, ODFW has confirmed four additional wolf depredations in Eastern Oregon: three in Wallowa County and one in Harney County. The Wallowa depredations occurred on March 1, 2, and 3 on private land near Flora. In total, four yearlings were killed and one injured. The depredations have been attributed to the WA139 group.
The Harney County depredation occurred on February 27 on private land near the Silver Creek area, resulting in the death of one calf. Though confirmed to have been caused by a wolf, it is unknown which group/pack was responsible.
