LONG CREEK – While the Long Creek School co-ed varsity basketball team have only had one win so far this season, their sportsmanship shines out on the court. So much, in fact, that the OSAA has recently nominated the team for the OSAA Sportsmanship Award, according to Superintendent Larry Glaze:

“It’s been a tough season for our kids. They’ve had one win and that was at Burnt River. But they’ve kept their heads up and we’re real proud of that fact.

In fact, this week I received notification from the OSAA that our team of kids had been selected for the Sportsmanship Award.”

Congratulations!

Long Creek Varsity Boys Basketball

I am writing to congratulate you on your recent sportsmanship nomination. This is a recognition program that gives OSAA sport officials the opportunity to highlight the positive sportsmanship that they see on the court. Each program that receives a nomination will be eligible to receive the OSAA Sportsmanship Award for their activity, which includes 100 OSAA Cup points for your school!

In a recent game, your Varsity Boys Basketball program exhibited the great qualities that the OSAA looks for in teams, programs, and communities across the state, and your game official noticed!

Please share this with your community and school board members.

Keep up the GREAT work!
