KENNEWICK – Several residents of an apartment complex are temporarily displaced after a fire swept through two apartment units Friday afternoon.
Fire crews from the Kennewick Fire Department, Benton County Fire District No. 1 and the Pasco Fire Department were dispatched at 3:34 p.m. to Dolphin Apartments, 9 N. Waverly Pl.
KFD Fire Chief Chad Michael said when fire crews arrived, a substantial amount of smoke fire was coming from two apartments on the south side of the building: one on the second floor, and another on the third floor.
All occupants were safely evacuated. KFD is closely working with a chaplain and the management team to find temporary housing for those affected.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and there were no injuries reported.
