MISSION – Members and employees of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation can now pass over the Bridge of the Gods without having to pay a toll. The bridge at Cascade Locks links Interstate 84 with Washington Route 14 and is owned by the Port of Cascade Locks.

“I think it just sheds light on the great partnership, recognizing that this area is part of our lands and that tribal members are just exercising our treaty rights of 1855,” CTUIR Director of Communications Kaeleen McGuire said.

Tolls went up on the bridge last summer and vary depending on vehicle size. The current cost of a one-way crossing for a passenger vehicle is $3. It is less if the user has an electronic account opened with the Port of Cascade Locks.
