WENATCHEE – Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed Alyssa Longwell, 37, of Kennewick on the 17000 block of Badger Mountain Road in Wenatchee.
Eyewitnesses saw Longwell fall out of a car. When the car stopped, the driver then got out and shot her several times, according to the witnesses. Longwell died at the scene from her injuries.
The suspect, Dalton Scott Potter, 27, of Wenatchee then began shooting at the eyewitnesses. They managed to retreat suffering only minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Potter then fled but was later located and apprehended without incident. He was arrested and booked into the Chelan County Jail for first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder.
