John Day City Council to crack down on meeting rules

JOHN DAY – John Day Mayor Heather Rookstool was on Coffee Time recently, and made note that the city council will be sticking closer to keeping public meetings in order:
“That’s another thing that we’re going to have to work on—us as the council, as well as the public—is not addressing others in the audience. No side conversations in the audience, or badgering people in the audience.
If you come to the council with a question or you want to ask us a question, you talk to us. If you want to talk to people in the public, talk to them outside the meeting.”
