Three arrested in shooting, one at large

OTHELLO – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports three people have been arrested and a fourth is being sought in the shooting of a 20-year-old man on the 600 block of Kristina Road in Othello Tuesday night.

The adult in custody is Raphael Chavez-Hernandez, 20. He’s been booked for first-degree attempted murder, along with assault and firearm charges.

Two juveniles are also in custody and have been booked for first- and second-degree assault.

The victim, Freddy Gonzalez-Rodriguez, is being treated for a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Othello Community Hospital for treatment and then transferred to an undisclosed hospital for specialized treatment. At last report, his condition was listed as stable.

Authorities believe this incident to be gang related.
