PASCO – The Tri-Cities Special Investigations Unit has released the names of those involved in last week’s officer-involved shooting at a trailer park in Pasco.
Jose Jara-Delacruz, 49, has been treated and released at an urgent care hospital and then arrested and jailed in King County. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder in the first degree.
When officers arrived Dec. 7 to investigate a reported disturbance, they say they found Jara-Delacruz armed with a gun, fighting with a 43-year-old woman.
According to investigators, Jara-Delacruz began shooting at officers when they attempted to make contact. Officer Anna Ramos with the Pasco Police Department returned fire, striking both Jara-Delacruz and the woman.
Jara-Delacruz and the woman were taken to a Tri-Cities hospital before being transferred out of the area for medical treatment. The woman remains in critical condition. No police officers were injured.
