News release from the Pendleton Police Department
December 10, 2022 at 6:04 a.m., Pendleton Police personnel responded to a residence in the 500 block of NW 21st Street after a resident discovered that his vehicle, a 2008 Ford F-350, was stolen from his residence sometime overnight. Additionally, an ATV was in the bed of the pick-up and a 16-foot flatbed trailer was attached to the rear of the pick-up at the time of the theft. After officers arrived and took the stolen vehicle report, an officer located the detached trailer in the neighborhood of the original theft.
The vehicle owner used social media to advise of the stolen vehicle. At about 8:57 a.m., the vehicle owner called and advised that a resident in the 800 block of NW 5th Street messaged him advising that the stolen truck turned up in front of their residence sometime within the last 30-minutes. Officers responded and began processing the vehicle for evidence. Located inside the vehicle, officer discovered several packages addressed to five other Pendleton residents.
The ATV was not with the vehicle at the time of the recovery. Shortly after the vehicle was recovered, the victim reported that he observed two males riding his ATV in the 700 block of NW 5th Street. Officers arrived and were able make contact with the two males at a residence in the 700 block of NW 6th Street. Probable cause was developed for the arrest of Kiefer D. Robison, a 19-year-old Pendleton resident and Lucas S. Stahl, a 18-year-old Pendleton resident for the following crimes:
Both were lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on the mentioned charges. The investigation is still continuing and will be forwarded to the Umatilla County District Attorney when complete.
