JOHN DAY – John Day City Manager Corum Ketchum was in KJDY/News 102 Studios recently and explained that the city and their contractors have been working on the 7th Street Extension, and thanks to some new dollars coming in, the work is expected to continue.
“We just got money from the state to continue that work to add some pedestrian crossings at that corner of what will be 7th street and Patterson; and go all the way to the far side, next to the park. [We’ll] rebuild that gravel parking lot right in front of the playgrounds, and the skate park, and the splash pad.”
Ketchum said the public can expect work and construction to take place in 2023.
