BAKER CITY – Thanks to grant funding from the Baker County Local Community Health Partnership, the Baker County Safe Communities Coalition was able to purchase carekit for clients who are graduating from the New Directions Northwest, Inc. Recovery Village Center.

New Directions Northwest – Recovery Village “provides a safe and respectful environment where clients can get a fresh start. Treatment is individualized but includes education, focuses on consequences and emphasizes problem-solving skills. Clients participate in relapse planning to minimize the effects of addiction on the family, and parents are allowed to bring children along.”

In addition, a donation of hand knitted stocking caps was also made that are being added to the carekits.
